Siren seemed to be hurt by his words, she began to cry before turning away and continuing their way to Galfinio. 'I just don't understand how she can feel like that...' he told himself, he couldn't understand her situation at all, unlike many other occasions where he could understand almost everything she felt and thought. A crow flew down to the tree branch and Siren began to speak with it, Pyros decided not to listen in on the conversation and stood back a bit when all of a sudden Siren rushed off into the forest, he couldn't imagine what the hell she was doing but he kept his eyes on the crow. 'Messengers of Cat Kingdom.' he stated to himself, wondering how birds had become the messengers for cats. Siren returned with a small rabbit as she presented it to the crow, she had obviously hunted it as a payment to the crow.
They continued their journey through the forest and it wasn't long until it began to get darker and Siren lit a flame in her palm to light the way for them, she mentioned that Galfinio was close and began to head for it much faster, he kept up with her pace and they were in Galfinio shortly, she extinguished the flame and headed for the nearest tavern. They headed to the counter where she asked for rooms and the barman told them they only had one, she paid for the room and took the key, Pyros listened as he told them it was the third room on the right. Siren thanked the man and asked if he was hungry, Pyros was a little surprised that she had taken control so quickly, he was usually the one that was taking control and moving forward, but now she was. 'I wonder if it has anything to do with her now being a leader for her people, or is it just because she doesn't want to rely on me?' he wondered. Pyros nodded, "Yeah, I am hungry. Anything will be fine by me, I've never been fussy with food." He told her.

Siren looked at Pyros for a moment, and then nodded. "Do you mind finding us a table? I'll bring the food in a moment." she asked Pyros, then turned around and started talking to the barman again. "I'd like two bowls of whatever is warm." The bartender nodded and began scooping some stew into a pair of bowls. "Have you heard any news from the Cat Kingdom?" The barman looked up at her as he brought the bowls to her. "If you're thinking of going there, you'd best rethink your travels. I heard civil unrest throughout the kingdom. They're still waiting for the new monarch to be named." he said. "If it were possible to avoid the Cat Kingdom at this point, i might consider it for a while, but i must return quickly. You'll here new news of the monarch soon, i'm sure." she said, picking up the bowls and turning around to find Pyros. She was filled with anxiety for her kingdom, and she was sure it showed on her face.

Kitsura nodded, she turned to take one last look at the Darklight Kingdom to snap in within her memory. Then she turned and took her first step outside the boundaries for days. First her right foot, then her left, both gingerly and slowly. She then passed through the boundaries with no sensations felt, but as soon as she was completely through, the thingwhole kingdom disappeared. She looked at the piece of forest that was once a kingdom for a while, then when she was convinced that nothing could be seen nothing she started on her way home.
She headed north to the fox kingdom, not bothering to go through Galfino. She was about half-way there as night fell, and she decided it was about time to sleep. She was tired, despite her long hours of sleep in the darklight kingdom, and she didn't want to travel anymore, so she looked around for some shelter for the night. About fifteen minute after searching for something suitable. It was a huge opening a tree big enough for her and her stuff, if she transformed to fox. She place her bag in there, and then transformed. When she did, she crawled inside, placed her furry tail over her nose and went to sleep almost immediately after.
OOC-Sorry of the shortness, and the boringness. I'm horrible at roleplaying today.

Siren told him to find a table and then headed for the bar, he turned around and looked at the many tables around them, there were a few that were free and headed over for one with 3 seats around it, it was the smallest here was. He took a seat and looked around at the many people in the tavern, sitting down, most of them on their own and drinking themselves silly. His eyes headed for the bar where Siren was discussing something with the barkeeper before she took the two bowls and headed in his direction. When she put the bowls down on the table Pyros knew something was wrong with her, she seemed somehow upset, and worried, probably about her kingdom and what she would be up against. "Are you alright? You don't look so good, obviously somethings troubling you, but with so much going on I can only wonder what it is." He told her before reaching for a bowl and bringing it closer to him, he began to eat the stew, waiting for a response from Siren.

As Siren sat down at the table, Pyros asked her what was wrong. She looked at him blankly for a moment and then replied, "It shouldn't be this way. It's all wrong. The things I need to sort out before I take the throne, I have no time for. I'm already late. I should have been there when he died. He should have told me.... How am I to get used to the harsh reality of life if he shelters me from the things that could teach me that skill? I should have seen it... I'm so naive.." She rested her elbow on the table and put her head in her hand, sighing. She toyed with the food in her bowl for a moment, no interest in eating, though she knew that she should. "There is unrest in our kingdom already, they want their queen. What if I'm not what they want?" she raised her eyes to look worriedly at Pyros. She also worried how the Cat Kingdom would react to his taking the throne beside her. Would they think that Silver Viper was trying to take over their kingdom? She lowered her eyes again and started eating slowly, her appetite diminished.

Siren began to explain that things shouldn't be the way they were, she went on to explain how things were all wrong, she played around with her food and looked really down. Pyros had finished eating his food while listening to her explain everything and pushed the bowl aside. Pyros placed his palms on the table and looked at Siren, he didn't want to just speak out what was on his mind as usual, he wanted to be careful about what he said, since their relationship was on such thin ice. "Saraine told you what he thought was right, he did everything the way he thought would work best, im sure he would have felt worse if you were tied down to the kingdom to watch over him until he eventually died. As for the skills, i guess he hoped you never needed them." Pyros replied, trying to be as distant with his response as possible, making sure he was saying that he thought these things, wasn't telling them as if they were fact.
"Its only natural that there would be unrest in a leaderless kingdom, The sooner we get there the better for your kingdom, but to be honest, I don't see it doing you much good, the longer your not there, the better it is for you as a person and not to have the stresses of your kingdom weighing on you." He explained, but then thought he was going back into his routine of expressing his own opinions in a way that sounded like fact. "But your the one making the decision and I know that the kingdom is very important to you, and being there is a priority." he added, he wanted to make sure she didn't think he was convincing her to stay away from the kingdom, he knew as well as she did that it wasn't possible and the longer they waited the worse it would be when they arrived.
She seemed very worried that the kingdom would reject her as a leader, but it wasn't really their choice, she would be the queen whether or not they wanted it, whether he was beside her or not was another matter, he could easily be discarded as he wasn't the heir but just her husband. "Im sure you'll do just fine as queen, its in your blood to be a leader. It will be tough and there will be challenges, but if I know you at all aswell as I think I do, then you'll overcome them all and create a great kingdom, and as little as it may mean to you right now, I'll be right there with you to keep you up when your about to fall." He told her before slipping back in his chair and lifting his arms off the table and folding them as he waited for her to finish her food.

She continued to eat as Pyros gave her his opinion. She knew she would need her energy for the rest of their travels. She looked up as he told her that he would be there to catch her should she fall. She longed to trust him again, even a small bit. She bit her lip and looked at him sadly. Her bowl was still half filled with stew, but she knew she wouldn't be able to eat it. She stood up and picked up their bowls, returning them to the counter, and then went back to the table. She held out the key to Pyros. "The room is for you. I... won't be sharing it with you this time." she swallowed, suddenly unable to tell him what her plans were for the evening. "I... won't be far away, and I'll be back here in the morning when it's time for us to continue. I'll meet you back here." Impatient to find solitude, she put the key down on the table, and turned in the direction of the door.

Siren didn't reply, she just bit her lip and took their bowls away, he watched as she moved away from the table and headed to the counter to return them. He looked down at the table as he waited for her to return, he looked up when he noticed her holding out a key to him. She told him that the room was for him and that she wouldn't be sharing it with him, he smirked as he reached for the key. 'I should have expected this.' he thought to himself, before he had grabbed it she placed it on the table and told him that she wouldn't be far and would meet him back there to continue their journey. He nodded as she seemed very eager to head out of the tavern, she headed for the door and Pyros sat there for a moment. He leaned back in his chair and looked around the tavern, a few people looked over at him but when he looked at them they turned back around. He put his palms on the table again and lay his head in between them, closing his eyes as memories of the past few days came to mind. The look in Siren's eyes when she found out that Pyros had known everything, the feeling he got that she would strike at him if he hadn't left the room at that time. A tear came to his eyes but he held back any further from appearing. 'Did I do the right thing by keeping it from her?' he wondered.

Siren left the tavern as quickly as she could without running for the door. Involuntarily, her mind reached out behind her to Pyros and she felt his misery like a piercing arrow. It crippled her and she leaned her shoulder and forehead against the wall of the tavern to catch her breath, her eyes already streaming with tears. She placed the fist of the shoulder not against the wall beside her head and tried to pull her mind back. It was difficult, because she was so used to holding on to him with her mind whenever she couldn't see him. When she had succeeded, she ran back to the forest to the first tree she couldn't see the town from anymore. There she let her pain envelope her. It was even harder to stay upright now, and she found herself curled in on herself, holding her knees into her chest, and her face in her knees. She knew it would be the only time she would be able to grieve at any length for both of her losses; Saraine's death, and Pyros' betrayal and subsequent distancing. She felt only a quarter of her self remained, and her body was grieving the loss of its other parts. Letting go of her knees she leaned her face into the tree that she sat beneath, placing her hand on its bark beside her face again. She could feel the life pulsing within it, and she felt comforted by its presence. She continued to cry for an hour into the night, and then the numbness settled in once more. Feeling nothing anymore, she climbed into the tree and settled to sleep in a branch. No dreams could touch her mind that night, though she was certain they would be nightmares if they could. She woke up just before dawn, knowing she hadn't slept long enough, but also that she wouldn't be able to sleep any more. She got up and jumped out of the tree before she stretched and walked back into town. She wondered momentarily whether Pyros' sleep had been any better.

Pyros lifted his head from the table and batted his eyes a little to get rid of the tears and then looked over at the stairs that led to his room. He turned to the door and looked toward it, 'I guess I could take a look around, there's no reason to sleep just yet.' he thought to himself as he headed out of the tavern and down the streets of the city looking around. 'Nice place, I really don't take enough time to appreciate the places we go.' he realized when he noticed a cry for help coming from an alleyway between two buildings, he looked down the alley but it was so dark he couldn't tell what was happening, he saw figures moving in haste and the screams continued, he rushed into the alley and grabbed a body, throwing it against the wall of one building. Several candles lit from the entrance into the alley as men rushed into it. Pyros felt something grab him and when the candles got closer he now had a much better sight of the alley and could see that there 3 three men leaned over a woman, he knew she was the victim that had screamed and so his targets were the men. He grabbed one by the arm and twisted it so he was forced to the floor, Pyros kicked him in the ribs before punching him in the back of the neck to knock him out. He knew that with his limited vision and the chance that the candles could go out, he had to do whatever he could as quickly as possible.
Pyros felt a few punches hit him, but he took them without much trouble and turned in the direction they had come from, he reached out and grabbed a shirt, he thrust his elbow into the mans stomach and then brought it up higher to strike him in the forehead, which knocked him out aswell. There was one more assailant remaining standing and he hadn't left the woman alone yet, he seemed not to have noticed Pyros attacking his companions. Pyros rushed over and grabbed his shoulders flinging him against a wall and then punching him several times in the chest before delivering a blow to the head which Pyros could feel had broken several bones or joints before he fell to the floor.
Pyros turned to the candles he had seen and wondered who was holding and them, the men were watching in horror as they saw the bodies of men laying on the floor. They rushed away from the alley in fear and Pyros headed to the woman, he held an arm out to her to help her stand up and she looked up at him, he was sure she seemed afraid of him, unsure if he was really helping her or not. "Its alright, I heard you screaming and I came to help, are you okay? What happened?" He asked her, placing his hands on her shoulder as she looked up at him and started crying, he leaped at him and wrapped her arms around him, thanking him for his help. He rubbed her back for a while and then she released him, "Its alright, im happy to have helped, are you going to be alright from now on?" He asked her, she trembled, still seeming to be in shock of what had happened, though Pyros was still unsure exactly what had happened. "Why don't you come with me to the tavern nearby? I'll get you a drink and you can tell me what happened." He offered and she nodded as she grabbed his hand and followed him out of the alley.
He got to the tavern and led her to a seat before getting two beers and bringing them over to the table, he handed one to her, she held it with shaking hands and he sat opposite her. "What was going on?" He asked her, she looked up at him and then down again. "Im passing through this town on my way to get to Silver Viper, I was heading out of the town when i was jumped by those 3 men and dragged into the alley way, they seemed to be trying to get to my money but you stopped them, thank you." she replied with a smile as Pyros took a drink and then placed the drink on the table. "Your welcome, I couldn't just ignore cries of help. So your not from this town?" He replied, she shook her head and Pyros felt a weight on him, he couldn't leave her to wander around at night to get back to Silver Viper on her own, but he wondered whether or not he could allow her to stay with him, he did have the last room in the tavern. "Well, I don't think you should be traveling alone at this time, You can stay in my room for the night and continue your journeys in the morning." He offered her, she seemed reluctant at first but then nodded. "Okay, your very kind." She told him as she finished her drink and stood up, he finished his aswell and then led her toward the room that Siren had given him.
He opened the door and entered the room, the woman looked over at the bed and then looked at Pyros with her arms crossed and tapping one foot. His cheeks blushed and he shook his head, "No no! I wouldn't think of such a thing, im actually married. You can have the bed and i'll sleep on the floor." he told her, she smiled and nodded as she headed for the bed and dropped down on it. "Married you say?" She mentioned as she got comfortable and then lay her head on the pillow. "So where is your wife?" She asked him. He took some pillows from the bed and lay them on the floor. "Were, having a sort of fight right now, so she decided to stay somewhere else in the town, were also just passing by on our way to Cat Kingdom." He replied as he dropped to the floor and lay on his back looking up at the ceiling. "Cat Kingdom? But they don't take to kindly to humans, I have heard a lot of stories, you have to be welcomed into it or your going to have a lot of trouble there." She added, as if she knew quite a bit about the kingdom. "Were being expected, she is in a way, a very important person in the kingdom." Pyros explained, not wanting to give away too much information about Siren to a stranger. "Well, in that case you should enjoy yourselves, im going to sleep now, good night stranger." she replied and Pyros wished her a goodnight before falling to sleep himself.
The next morning, Pyros woke up to see that the woman had disappeared, he stood up and headed for the door, leaving the room and walking down the stairs, he moved over to the bar and gave the key back to the tavern owned. 'I wonder when Siren is going to be coming in, I hope she didn't spend the whole night outside, though she seems to enjoy it more than being indoors, there's so much of her cat side that seems to dominate her.' he thought when he looked around the tavern and saw the woman sitting down with a drink before her, he headed over and sat down next to her. "Well, you get up early, I thought you had already left for Silver Viper." He told her as she smiled over at him. "No, but i'll be heading off soon. I just wanted to thank you one last time." she told him as she hugged him again.

Siren opened the door to the tavern and stepped inside before she looked around for Pyros. Her eyes widened as she spotted the only man that could be him, the arms of a woman draped around him. Immediately she put her hands to her head, tears springing to her eyes as they started to turn red. 'Don't kill her, don't kill her, don't kill her, don't kill her....' she thought repeatedly, closing her eyes for a moment. She recalled another incident that told her she shouldn't touch this girl, no matter how much she wanted to rip her to shreds. As the thought ran through her head, she felt her magic flare up again, and started up repeating the words 'don't kill her' once more to stop it. "Hey, are you alright? You look like you're in pain." A man's voice asked from her left. She looked up at him, focusing all of her attention on him to distract herself from Pyros' new necklace. "Pain doesn't begin to describe what i'm going through." she said. "Oh. Is there any way I can help?" he asked. "Probably not... its between me and my husband." she replied. "Oh.." he looked a little uncomfortable then, then he asked, "Is he here?" Siren nodded and she thought he was looking a little pale, then she pointed towards the table he was sitting at, and when the man's face turned back to her, he looked a little less stressed. "Now I see why you look like you're in pain." he said, "Stay here, I'll let him know you're here." "Thank you." she said, leaning against the wall, and keeping her eyes away from Pyros. The man walked away, and she heard him tell Pyros that his wife was waiting by the door. Then she heard him speak in an undertone to Pyros. It sounded like he was warning Pyros, almost like he was wishing him luck in getting her to forgive him for his indiscretion. Siren raised her hands to her eyes, sighing. She hoped that it wasn't like that, that he hadn't been so lonely as to do that. It didn't seem like him, but people could change. She wasn't ready to trust him yet, and visions of horrible things plagued her mind. She hoped that Pyros wasn't upset enough at the accusation to do something to the helpful stranger. She closed her eyes behind her hands and started her repetitions again, waiting for Pyros to join her.

The woman let Pyros go after a moment and smiled up at him. He smiled back and then noticed a man come over to the table and stand next to him. Pyros looked up from the table and the man leaned closer to him, "Your wife is here and waiting for you by the door." he told him and Pyros immediately looked over to the door where he saw Siren with her back to him, the man tapped him on the shoulder. "Be careful, she isn't too happy about seeing you in the arms of another woman." He added and Pyros suddenly realized what he hadn't even thought of, that Siren had seen her embracing him and assumed he was cheating on her. "Oh no... Thanks for the warning." Pyros replied and the man nodded before moving away again. "I should probably leave, I need to get to Silver Viper soon anyway, and you look like you have a lot of convincing to do with your wife. Im sorry about that, I didn't think it would look that way." She told him with a slightly worried look on her face. "No, its not your fault. I should have thought about this earlier, Bye." Pyros replied and she stood up leaving the bar, walking past Siren but not interacting at all as she left.
Pyros stood up slowly and pushed his chair in, he wasn't looking forward to this discussion and he knew it would be hard to convince Siren that he hadn't done anything, since she was already having trouble trusting him. He walked over to her and stopped by her, just listening to her crying for a moment. He wasn't sure if he should touch her, worried that perhaps she would react out of anger, so he decided it would be best just to speak to her back. "Siren... Im sorry that you had to come in and see a stranger embracing me, but it wasn't like it seemed." He began, he looked to the ground and then up again. "Last night I was walking around the town and she was being attacked by some men in an alleyway and I helped her out. She was so shocked from the experience that I couldn't just leave her, so I offered to give her a room for the night." Pyros explained, but then quickly jumped to add the all important part, "But I slept on the floor and she had the bed, I wouldn't do anything like that. I love you so much, I would never do that to you, I couldn't." he told her, hoping she believed him. "She was just thanking me when you saw her hugging me, that's all." He told her, she hadn't turned around during his whole speech and was worried about whether or not she was convinced.

Pyros walked up to her, she heard him coming, but she waited for him to finish explaining before she looked at him. She knew she looked aweful; tear stained eyes, red and puffy, her hair tangled because of where she had slept, and still not quite herself - at least not the way she had been born. "i'm sure what you did was very noble... Your explanation sounds more like you than what one would have thought to begin with... I want to believe you.. Please don't think that I'm settled on the worst case... Things are just so confusing right now, I don't know what is up and what is down anymore... I will figure it out." She sighed, putting her hands over her face for a moment. "I need to figure this out fast.. We will be home by the end of today, and I hoped to be back to normal - at least in a visual sense - before my coronation... Which brings me to the current issue. We should leave right away if we are to make it back to the castle, even on the direct route, by dark." She looked back up at him. "For future reference, I would refrain from participating in questionable activities, at least while I am in this form, because my power far exceeds my control. It took all my effort to keep her in one piece, but I knew that I must." With that, she turned and left the tavern. She only checked once that he was following, using her other senses instead of her eyes. By the time they arrived at the border, the sky was already beginning to darken. Siren had tried to take the most direct route possible, but many of her normal routes had been blocked off, forcing them to backtrack several times to find a path that would move them more forwards than backwards. They never crossed the paths of other creatures or humans; siren had made well sure of that, prefering not to interact with others. Siren stood facing the border. One more step would take her home, take her to the edge of the uncontrollable urge to return to the castle. Pyros had once been her way to ignore that urge, but now she had no need of that part anymore. She looked saddly at the trees that surround the "welcome to the Cat Kingdom" sign. They were the beautiful, lively trees of her home; the trees she loved more than any others. After a minute of staring at them, she stepped forwards twice. Home. she thought, and she felt the trees around her shift, as if they too were happy she had returned.

He smiled softly as he tended to his own duties during the time that the kingdom had its visitors. Aiding his son only with knowledge and ideas when the time came. But something in the outside world began to bother him. So makeing sure things were well cared for he dressed in his usual royal clothing of a warrior king he used one of his many powers and left Darklight for the mortal kingdom of the cats.
