This is a role-play where your characters are ten years younger. While for some of you, that won't make any difference at all, others, such as myself, it will have a huge impact.
Open to: Anyone who feels like it.

Kitsura walked into the inn, her piece of cloth over her head. At just seven year old, everything seemed so tall, so distant. The warm red colours of the inn was welcoming, and so she decided to stay. She waddled over with her short legs to one of the comfy looking seats and jumps on to the one furthest to the left. Since she was not tall enough for the seat yet, her two legs dangled from the floor. She at first listened to the white noise of the inn, which wasn't much. The was an old couple sitting and chatting like all old people do, and a couple of other people scattered about for several different kingdoms, taking quietly. She then contemplated on what to do next. Since her mother died, she has more or less been living on her own. That means of taking care of herself.
Her stomach started to grumble, and Kitsura blushed. So hungry she thought. She reached into her pockets. She either had enough money for a room or some food.
To eat or to sleep, that is the question. is something she might of thought if her brain power wasn't all focused to the matter at hand.
Something sparkly caught her eye. she looked up and saw that on the inn receptionist desk was a shiny object, but she couldn't identity it. She decided to get closer, failing to realize she was not tall enough to see it up close anyways. She put both her small feet on the chair, preparing for the leap of faith, focused only on the shiny thing. She jumped, feeling the simple joy one feels to be suspended in flight, even if that is just for a second, ignoring the fact, that a good percentage of the people in the inn stopped their conversation to watch.
Kitsura however failed to plan ahead. He felt something hard either hit her, or something she hit. She assumed it to be the floor.

Sorry for such a cheezy start. XP

Pyros walked the streets of Galfinio with his master at his side. "Pyros" he began, "You have become quite competent in your abilities, but there is still much I have to teach you." He spoke, his words always seemed like infinite wisdom to Pyros. "Yes master, I know that." Pyros responded. "Then why is it that you seem to exhibit such arrogance during your competitive fighting? For a young cub, you make yourself out to be the leader of the pack." Oden spoke, seeming to be putting Pyros down. "But master, my confidence is my drive in battle, I know when my opponent is my lesser." He responded, a tone that didn't sound much like a respectful student. "Your lesser? There is no lesser, only inexperience and inability, but what you see as your lesser may well become your greater with determination." Oden told Pyros. "Now, lets head into that Inn, and i'll have no more questioning of my teachings. With time you will realize that you are not the greatest warrior of even your age, but only in your own mind." Oden added with words that felt like a knife through Pyros' heart. At only 11, he was quite disciplined and a great student in the martial arts, but he was still only a child and his feelings could be hurt easily.
Oden lead them into the inn, his first sight upon entry of a young fox child falling from a stool. Oden headed emotionless toward a table and took a seat, looking over at his student who had not followed him as usual. Pyros looked over to his master and then back at the young fox that was still laying on the floor, she seemed dazed. He went over and looked down at her with a grim on his face, it had been quite hilarious to see her fall, especially the look on her face as she hit the ground. "Hi, Im Pyros." He introduced himself before putting his arm out to help her to her feet. He was sure that his master was watching him like a hawk, probably disappointed in how he seemed to care about all creatures and wasn't the emotionless stone warrior he wanted.

Kitsura felt herself, being helped picked up from off the ground. The helped introduced himself "Hi, I'm Pyros." She looked to the speaking closely in the face. While he was still a child, he was noticable older and bigger. He seemed to be a fairly nice person, she thought and she got back to her feet. "Hi there. My name's Kitsura." She said enthusiastically, holding out her hand. "Are from the silver viper kingdom? It looks that way to me. Are you alone too?" She looked away, just remembering something that her mother warned her about. To never talk to strangers, which is basically what every mother teaches their child. No its not like she was going to appear and scold her, and yes she did worse things by now, but still. In her efforts to look away, the shiny thing caught her attention again. Too curious for her own good, she talked to this Pyros person again before he could even reply.
"Hey do you know what that is? Its really shiny and important looking?" She asked, as if it held the world's secrets within it. He pointed to it, just in case, he didn't figure out what she was talking about.

Pyros listened as she introduced herself and asked if he was from Silver Viper, but as he replied it seemed like she wasn't even listening, but thinking to herself instead. As if she hadn't heard him at all, she asked if he knew what the shiny object on the reception desk was, he looked up at the desk, it was a little taller than he was and he couldn't quite see it. "Hmm, I wonder." he responded as he pulled the chair closer that Kitsura had fallen from. He pulled himself onto it, with his weight on the side it almost fell over, but luckily it didn't.
He looked over the desk and saw the object shimmer into his eyes, He picked it up and examined it closely before it was quickly snatched away by a man at the bar. "Hey! That isn't for children okay, this is a very dangerous weapon." he man said as he put the dagger back into his pocket. "Sorry sir." He replied before the man picked him up by his shirt and put him down next to Kitsura. "Be careful whos things you touch, young one" He added as he sat down in the chair.
Pyros turned to Kitsura, "That was a dagger, a weapon used for killing, from the looks of that guy he's a hunter, probably uses it to finish off hunted creatures." Pyros explained, not being at all sensitive to the fact that she was a fox.

Kitsura watched as Pyros first reached to retrieve the shiny object and as he got repremented by the clerk for doing so. Kitsura did nothing but lower her head told what it was. It wasn't if she was wronged by this "Dagger", but she understand, just what killing was, and what it did. She nodded to his words to show that she understood.
An uncomfortable silence hung in the air for a fee moments after that. Kitsura wasn't quite sure what to do now. She noticed that there was a man there that wasn't there previously when she had her first look around. He seemed to be considerably older than Pyros.
Before she knew it, she asked
"Are you with him? He seems to be the type to use that dagger. Not you though. "
She didn't know why she said that, she just blurted out stuff without thinking again. She will have to watch her tongue in the future.

Pyros looked over at the general direction she had pointed to, he noticed that she was referring to his master. "yeah, im with him. He's my karate master." Pyros pointed out grinning slightly, it was so cool to be a karate student. "I don't know if he has ever used a dagger, I've never seen him with one, he always says that we should learn to defend against weapons, but with our bodies rather than weapons, but I think swords and daggers are kind of cool." Pyros responded, really only half answering her question and then babbling on about swords and daggers.
"Are you with anyone? I don't see any other foxes around." He asked her

"A karate master? That sounds so cool." However, having the attention span of a child, she quickly changed subjects to the next thing Pyros said. Her eyes shined.
"I've seen a sword before! It was really long and shiny, and was at my house. I was told not to touch it though. I did though once, and I knocked it over, and it nearly fell on top of me..." She then realized that Pyros asked her a question of his own. Kitsura paused for a moment before answering.
"Umm well, no I don't think so..." She then remember then when older people asked this, they were usually referring to parents, especially to young children. For this reason, she continued on.
"I don't know where my father is. I've never seem one before. Not for me anyways." She said, and she tried to imagine what her father looked like. Tried as she may, she only got a manly version of herself in her mind, which is obviously not true. Giving up, she moved on to the explanation of the other parent.
Or at least she tried to. She opened her mouth to answer but, and the memories of her mother came flooding back to her in her mind. All those days where she read the little half-breed stories and play hide and seek in her house, among a hundred little memories in an instant. The last thing that she remembered is her back, with her sandy blond long hair at the back of it, as she stepped out the door. She had transformed into her human form, and while she promised that she would be back, the words are nothing but a mere hollow irony now.
Kitsura tried several times, but apparently her tear ducts released before her voice did. Cheeks flushed with embarrassment, she tried to hide her face with the cloth on her sleeves. She couldn't believe that she started crying in front of a person she didn't even know. It seems like she wasn't really strong in anything. She can't even keep her emotions in check.
With the cloth of her right arm still over her eyes, she finally answered between sobs, face still red.
"Sh-she's d- d-dead!!" She called out, perhaps a little louder than necessary.
OOC- Ummm, yeah, this kind of thing happens when I don't know what to put. I thought this might reinforce the childish personality of her, but I don't know. Please forgive my suckiness.

Pyros was amazed at how quickly the girl switched between topics, he wondered if it had something to do with her race, perhaps they couldn't remember things well, or they couldnt stay focused. 'She would make a horrible karate student, not being able to focus, no wonder animals dont do martial arts' he thought to himself.
She was talking about her parents that she knew nothing of... then she screamed that 'she was dead', but he had no idea who she was talking about, he assumed her mother since she had been talking about parents and her father.
She was crying now and Pyros was somewhat startled and turned to his master who just rolled his eyes and folded his arms, obviously he felt that Pyros was being childish again, he probably wanted him to just ignore the girl and come sit over with him. But Pyros wasn't so heartless, when someone cried he knew that there was something wrong with their heart, atleast thats what he had heard people say... that people cry because they're heart is broken or something like that.
When he felt that way, he always enjoyed a nice hug or human embrace of some sort, though it had been a while since he had any of it, being in training for martial arts. He moved closer to her and embraced her, pulling her head into his chest and allowing her tears to dry up in his shirt. She felt so cuddly and warm, just like a teddy bear.

She continued to cry, her cheeks being as reed as the leaves in fall, with a stream of salty water falling over them like a stream. She was so embarrassed but she couldn't stop.
Suddenly she felt something pull her closer and felt her face pushed into something warm. It felt like some sort of clothing. She stiffened at first being quite surprised, but after a second or two she relaxed, and was happy that Pyros is nice enough to do such a thing. She clung to his shirt crying into it . Within a couple of minutes she slowly calmed down enough and she let go. Her face was still red. She avoided his gaze, preferring to look at the boring tiled floor, which was slightly beige in colour.
"Th-thank you."She said "I-I so sorry about that. I didn't mean to do that. Umm, is there something I can do for you?" Foxes by nature are great keepers of secrets as well as repaying debts of people kindness, thus Kitsura wanted to help him if he needed it.
"Are you looking for something perhaps? Or need anything? I'll try to help." She smiled good naturely, wiping the last tears from her eyes. Then she saw a fly in the room and her eyes started to follow it, instead of looking at Pyros, though her ears were still at least somewhat pointed in his direction for his answer.

Pyros smiled as she looked at the floor, he thought she was too embarrassed to look him straight in the eyes, it was cute to him. Pyros wasn't really looking for anything, there was very little she could do for him, unless she possessed the mysteries behind being a great martial artist.
"Thats ok, you don't have to do anything for me. You seemed like you needed some comfort and I just helped, anyone would have done it." Pyros replied with a smile on his face.
"What are you doing here all alone?" Pyros asked, realizing that she wasn't with a parent and nobody seemed to be watching her like a guardian. Did she just wander the streets by herself?

When Pyros started talking again, she stopped paying attention to the fly and to him. he smiled in return for his generosity and in thanks for his kindness. Most people would ask for something, wouldn't they? But seemingly not him. At his question, she thought about it for a few moments and then responded by simply telling the truth.
"I don't know. I was kinda wandering around and looking for food and stuff. I kinda found myself here. Each days an adventure, you know?" That reminded her of something. And after she sensed a small awkward silence, and least in her mind, she made up her mind to show Pyros something. She reached into her pocket, after a few moments of trying to find it in the deep material, her hand hit a piece of paper, and she pulled it out. She unfolded it and walked over to Pyros, shehelding it facing him and that he could see. She even stood on her toes so that it would be closer.
To pretty much everyone, at first glace, it would look like a old faded out piece of paper, that has a few tears and seemingly something spilled on it. However on the paper had some strange writig that was not written in the normal language used in the area.
"Look! Isn't it cool? I found it in one of my mom's old books! I bet there is something really neat written on this, 'cause it looks like something a magic user would write, don't you think?" It makes me feel like a detective, trying to find clues to what this is"
Of course, she didn't mention the fact that she in reality didn't have any leads or clues at all what it said, but some things sound better unmentioned, right?
