This is a book that is open on a stand. It is a very popular book.
One thousand years ago, the inhabitants lived in the land of Terrarah together. Terrarah was full of resources, full of forests, grasslands and lakes, and in each of these places, all sorts of creatures reined, everything from humans to foxes to cats. They were all separated however and failed to understand each other. In those days, there was little magic, the best of the sorcerers could only do simple magic spells, such as lighting a room or making something glow, not near like they can today. They could not speak to other species either, they could only speak by writing to each other in scrolls, as well as signals. Unfortunately, each of the languages were different and the signals they used were varied, so messages were lost and they tended to vary from each other. The kingdoms were developed and only royalty spoke to each other. However, due to lack of understanding and the species nature, they broke into many wars, mostly with teeth and claws.
One fateful day, the sky turned red like blood. A dark figure flooded the sky with its wings, covering the land with its black wing .It was the dark dragon lord Chaos, and due to the was that was happening on the land, he smelt the lust for death and decided to grant their wish with pleasure. With his massive wings he destroyed Terrarah, killing thousands, death crawling out of every corner. It was said the blood fell like rain, when Chaos went on a killing spree. Black flames, went wherever he went, and his ruby eyes scanned constantly for his next victim The inhabitants hid in fear, knowing that nothing could be done.
The leaders of each Kingdom met together in the Temple of Spirits in desperation, bringing their subjects with them. In fear they tried every thing in their powers to understand each other, taking crash courses to learn their signals, drawing pictures to make them understand. They decided that they needed to forget the past and bound together to defeat Chaos. They figured out that the whole reason he came was because of their selfish ways, and the way to drive him away is to join to together and fight him themselves. They understood that Chaos was a Dark Lord, they never seen something with so much power. They understood that the chances to defeat him was slim to none, but they wanted to take back what was theirs, and to have a world where blood didn't stain the water they drink.
All in a group they ran out of the Temple in a huge pack, having the kingdom rulers to direct their subjects what to do. In the short time they had, they developed universal signals and calls for them to turn right for example. Even though the population dropped severally due this dark time, which the historians today call this period of time Kurai Aiyoku, (Dark lust) there was still many and there all fought bitterly against the Dark Lord. Chaos was furious, he resented teamwork and compassion that the inhabitants showed.
In desperation, because he knew that this was killing him, he called forth a massive meteorite to destroy this world once and for all. However, something in his plans went wrong. He wasted too much power trying to heal his injuries and try to fend off the creatures that was attacking him as well as the fact the he already used much of his power to destroy Terrarah, and didn't rejuvenate his power to the strength it is suppose to be. He called forth a meteor that was the size of Terrarah itself and powerful enough to destroy something the size of 100 Terrarahs, due to the fact that he stored so much magic in that piece of rock. As well as that, just after he called forth the meteor, a group of the strongest warriors, all went for the base of his right wing, just so happened to be the place that controls how he directs his magic (Dark Lords magic perception and aim is different to most creatures magic.) However, he was not aware of this and he casted a spell on himself to protect himself for the meteor (he did have protection spells on him before, but they were a different kind of protection spell. The meteorite has both a major physical and magical damage and needed a spell that would protect against both. He didn't cast it before because what he was fighting against couldn't fight against magic and as all magic users should know, protection against two different types of things take quite a bit of energy, even for a Dark Lord.) However, due to lack of aim, it turned out that he actually protected his enemies!
He growled in anger and flapped his wings in fury and in doing so, he made the meteor split into a much smaller size. Sensing this, he flapped his wings again and tried to escape but the flapping of his wings made the meteorite reach Terrarah even faster, and hit him in the back.
He roared in pain and the meteor collided with him, and this killed him. the meteor split apart into many pieces, one piece for each kingdom and whizzed off in the direction of where they lived. A mystic blue light flooded Terrarah. As the protection spell wore off, due to the fact the the caster was destroyed, the creatures of Terrarah was bathed in the blue light of magic and they felt some differences. They could now speak to each other and cast all sorts of magic, making a place that had very little magic before to one of the most magical places in the universe (not including the place of the gods.)
Where the meteor hit left a huge crater and they all thrown back due to the sheer amount of magic that was let out. They all gathered around the crater and talking to each other easily for the first time in history. They decided to rename the place where they live, Warriors Crater, to honour both the meteor that gave them power and left an amplifier so the the magic can never leave and to honour all the creatures, the brave warriors, that fought in their darkest hour.
To this day, this legend is still spoken to not only magic users, but to every person that lives in Warriors Crater, to honour their ancestors and to explain why the things in Warriors Crater are the way things are. Historians of Warriors Crater all agree that this legend is in fact true.
