Her body slide along the dirt. As her head lifted, dirt and marks covered her face. A small trail of blood dripped from the corner of her mouth. Slowly her right hand tightened once more around the crystal hilt. Her body aching as she stood once more. "You should just given into the darkness once more. I wish not to fight you, but for you to join me little Dewdrop..." Malacites words softened as he held a hand out to her. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see her mother barely hanging on to life. This caused her focus to be lost on Malacite. All her training seemed wasted for her emotions were getting the better of her. "Do not look away from me sister!" Malacite's hand was suddenly at her neck, lifting her off the ground. One of her hands left go of the hilt and gripped his wrist. Her other hand still gripped the hilt of her sword. "M-malacite...why?" tears were filling her eyes. She was not sure she could actually face her brother. Nor was she sure how much longer her mother could hold on. She swung the sword quickly towards Malacites face, trying to do so without thinking of him as her brother. However, he managed to catch the blade in his hand. Blood droplets slipped down the blade from his hand. However, in a moment his body was launched back wards. This had caught him off guard and sent him flying into the air. She looked behind her to see her mother, panting heavily. Sierra's left hand was held out in front of her. Her body was slumped against and old maple tree. "Mother!" Dewdrop cried rushing over to her. She scooped her mothers upper body up and rested it in her lap. Her mothers blood began to coat her white gown, this did not matter to her. "Let me heal you..." she whispered, hugging her mother. A soft glow began to flow over both of them. She had not trained in the field of healing very long, but she had to do something. She would have no one, if her mother died. In the back of her mind she had already known that her father was gone. For in a battle Sierra and Danais were always fighting together as a team. "Dear sweet Dewdrop. You must be strong...and you need to save your energy to escape your brother..." a shaky hand came to rest on dewdrops cheek. "You will do great things one day...for it was foretold that you would...the days of Holylight will be over and you will be all that remains..." "No! You will be fine, I will do something about this. This is my fault..Malacite...he..why did he change...mom?" She pleaded for an answer as she rocked slightly still holding on to her mother. "My...my child you are not...alone. You must flee this place...Malacite has become a fallen one..." Sierra stopped speaking for a moment, her own face held great pain. "I love you Dewdrop..my little one...please be safe..." she whispered, her words having been the last bit of air she breathed. "Mother?...Mom?...MOTHER!" Dewdrop cried holding onto Sierra very tightly. He cries could be hear from afar. She sat there and rocked with her dead mothers body. Sparkles came from Sierra's body and lifted into the air. "Mom..." Malacite whispered, heading towards them. He seemed almost worried and a bit shaken by what he saw before him. The battle still raged around them. "I HATE YOU MALACITE!" Dewdrop shouted, still gripping her mother's body tightly. Her head laid back into her mothers shoulder. Where she continued to weep. She did not care what happened to her now. Everyone she loved most was either dead or filled with malice. The amulet around her neck pulsed, threatening to change her back in to a darker state of mind. The souls of the innocent villagers still swarmed within the amulet.

He shook his head and with all he could manage from his still regaining powers he rushed into the area. His hand held his sword as he slipped through the shadows and the light with ease and without much sound. He couldn't beleive he was actually risking his life for a woman from this kingdome. He couldn't understand why this young...unexperienced Nova angel..daughter of the king and queen stirred him with so much confusing emotions. He understood the need to protect her, to love her. But why? what did they share that neither could explain the need for each other? He raised his blade and slashed down letting a wave of energy fly twards Malacite, only to recall it as he witnessed the queen spend the last amounts of energy she had.
He sighed knowing that both king, and queen were now dead...but on their way to a plane that would allow them to live again....eventually in other ways. He stopped his approach only breifly...untill he felt the puls of the amulet and her hatred for her brother flare again. " Dewdrop! " He cried out as he made himself known, standing now behind her dark brother. " You can't allow the souls of the innocent to infect you. Your brother is a dark angel, let your compassion destroy his plans, hatred and vengence are the tools of us demons. don't become what we are, and what your brother has become. "
His attention also wove a thread of energy into the dying queen, giveing her just enough strength to heal, or to find the path into the planes of souls he had opened for her. this would be the last battle he hoped with Malacite....either he himself would die, or Malacite would die or be forced to go into hideing. It would have to be seen soon at any rate as he made himself seen completely now. He still knew he had to purge that amulet of the souls...and that was his biggest risk.

Hearing Vergo's words; did not stop the ever growing feeling of anger and sorrow that kept tugging at her very soul. She stood slowly, her clothing coated in her mothers blood. She had rested her mothers head down on to the ground. "Vergo...stay out of this..." Her words whispered in the death filled air, echoing her pain. Without another word; the distance between her and Malacite was shortened. Her blade held high and coming down upon his with great force. "This is what I am talking about Dewdrop! Feel the anger for me and the hatred..." his last comment seemed to be filled with a bit of sorrow for some reason. This did not distract her though. She still swung her blade to kill. The amulet pulsed again, turning once more to a shade of black. As this happened, her wings began to taint with black as well. Her mind raced with sorrow for her parents and her people. Why was this happening? She jumped back and held out her hand, creating a bone shattering wind funnel around her brother. This was not the half of it. Slamming her blade into the ground, she took her other hand and raised it up too. This time around the air funnel, spears of ice formed, making escape nearly impossible.

He clenched his hands and shook his head. His own anger riseing. He wouldn't allow this to happen...not after finding something he cared so much about. He rushed in and with a quick manuver, placed himself between her and her brother and then seeing the change he closed his eyes sighing heavily. She had Malacite trapped in a vortex of crushing wind...but still she was becomeing tainted with darkness. He had only one choice now. " I will not stay out of it....your parents will live...and I love you Dewdrop...so much that I can't stand by and let him do this too you. " He arched his sword and with a heavy heart the blade changed, it doubled in size, and became a double sword, each end shot out to the length of five feet, only one kept increaseing. Since he was only between her and her brother he had to keep one end from growing since the other target was trapped and it was hard controlling this weapon in such a way. One end increased and peirced her chest completly through. A blast of energy transfered from him into her, absorbing the evil that was forced upon dewdrop. If this didn't work......he didn't know what else to do, and he only hoped that his strike didn't hit any of her vital areas.
He turned to risk a look at her trapped brother wondering if he would be able to manage enough energy to blast him from exsistance while he was trapped....or would draining Dewdrop of all the evil that was forced upon her be too much for him...what would happen should she let loose of her brother and turn her anger on him instead? He shook his head and looked back to her. " don't let him win...fight the evil, beleive in yourself....beleive in us if you even think there is a chance for us. "

A pain filled her heart. Tears began to fall down her cheeks as the end of Vergo's blade pierced her chest. A sudden gasp escaped her lips. The whirlwind that had surrounded Malacite stopped. She fell to her knees as the blade was with drawn. The wound closed slightly, the amulet pulsing and glowing white.
"Vergo..." she whispered falling forward on to the ground. From the amulet came the very black gem that Malacite had used to taint her with evil. It hit the ground and shattered in to a million pieces. When this happened, ear piercing screams and shrikes filled the air. The innocent souls which had been killed were showing their anger before vanishing into thin air.
Meanwhile, Malacites body had fallen to the ground. He was bleeding along his right cheek and from his wings, where the whirlwind had ripped at them. He laughed as he stood watching the souls disappear and seeing his sister laying on the ground.
"You..." he started looking towards Vergo, "You have ruined everything! I knew you were nothing but trouble!" his left hand drew forth the double ended sword he had. "I shall kill you and then continue with what I was doing...Dewdrop does not love you...she loves her brother. You are nothing, but an obstacle in our way! Demon!" Malacites eyes were wide and crazy as he started his attack on Vergo.

He shivers with despair as he dropped his blade and fell to his knees beside her. He had spent all his powers helping to drain the evil from her, and saving her parents lives. But now it had seemed he had killed her while trying to save her. He listened to Malacite but didn't hear him. He pulled her body into his arms and held her close tears filling his eyes and falling onto her skin. " forgive me Dewdrop.....i didn't know what else to do..." He let her back down...as his rage soon began to take over. He had felt the faint thread of life in her and he picked his blade up and turned to her brother. He let the last of his strength pass to her which left him weak as a mortal man. He raised his blade as he returned to a more suitable weapon as he began walking twards Malacite. " I'll see you dead for what you have done....if its the last thing i do with my last breath. "

Malacite raised his weapon with his opposite hand. His right arm hung at his side as though it had been dubbed useless or broken. Pure black wings hung low behind him; for they too had received a great deal of damage. As he walked, he limped gripping the double ended blade.
"You are going to DIE! Prince of the demons!" again his words were wild and crazy. His eyes wide and blazing with malice. Malacite thrusted the double ended sword forward, the blade gripped in his hand horizontally. With this thrust forward came a pulse of energy which would almost feel like a punch to the stomach. he followed this threw with two more; before spinning the blade vertical and swinging it down upon Vergo.
Pain rushed through her. "Am...I...dead?" she thought to herself as her eyes opened half way.
The world before her was a clash of odd shapes and shadows, at first. Soon the shapes began to transform into figures. While this happened, color began to seep into the figures. Finally, she was able to see Vergo and Malacite fighting. Both looked close to exhaustion or death, she could not focus her thoughts long enough to figure out which they were.
She tried to move which sent horrible pains through her chest. Her hand moved slowly to grip her chest, where she felt wetness. Pulling her hand to her face, her eyes widened. There, warm on her hand was her own blood. Again, unnatural pain filled her chest and body. Gritting her teeth, her head shifted towards the one she was starting to love and her beloved brother.
Malacite now stood with only one half of the double ended sword in his hand. The other half was laying near the edge of the water fall. This was where there fighting was taking them. Closer to "Heavens falls," the oldest, most beautiful, and highest water fall there was in Holylight. It was said to have ancient healing powers and the possibility of giving mortals immortality. The fall over the falls would surreal kill them, due to their weakened states.
Very painfully she managed to get to her knees and began to crawl towards them. Unsure how she was going to stop them or what she was going to do. There was one thing for sure. She could not allow Vergo to kill her brother, nor allow her brother to do the same to him.
As she reached them, they were on the edge of the great drop into the water fall. With all she could muster, she stood wobbling and trembling. Her blood soaking her clothing.
Everything from this point on happened fast. She flung her body in between Malacite and Vergo's blade just as it was about to pierce her brothers stomach. The hot steel buried itself deep into her back. Her hands gripped her brothers clothing, holding on very tightly. She had not cried out, not even after Vergo had removed it quickly. Vergo's face was in horrible shock and disbelief.
Blood began to stain her white wings. Her body was still pressed tightly to Malacites, causing his body to become soaked too. Her head lifted to his. Her eyes were soft, but tears ran from them. "I...I am...s..sorry Malacite..." she started, breathing in very little. " N-no matter...what...y...your my brother."
Her grip on her brother began to loosen as her head turned to Vergo. Again her eyes were soft, but there were still tears. He would almost have to strain to hear what little she was about to say. "I...a-am...sorry...Vergo....dear...vergo...I...lo...love..." the words she had wanted to say to him would not be heard.
The grip upon Malacite was lost and her body began to fall. Off the side of the "Heavens falls," she fell. Into the mist of the falls, to the jagged rocks below. A small white flash accrued in the mist, then all was silent once again; besides the rushing of the water from the falls.
Malacite stood there in shock, his mouth hung slightly open. With only half of his double ended sword, he vanished into a mist of black smoke. This smoke proceeded to descend into the mist of the water fall and vanished.

He didn't reply, he didn't make one sound other than grunts as he received the blows of energy. Deflecting the blade was easy but without his own powers absorbeing or sheilding against the energy attacks were impossible. He was gratefull he could stand them long enough to do what he needed. He didn't notice Dewdrop begining to stir and wake. He kept his blade at even counter attacks to Malacite's own as they moved slowly away from where Dewdrop lay and in one false move followed by a power slam move with his sword he brock Malacite's. They were near the falls and as he drew back he caught from the edge of his sight a flourish of movement. Too late he thrust out to impale his enemy...but instead his blade struck the woman he loved. Just as quick he removed the blade, dropping it soon as it left her body.
He dared not breath as he heard what she spoke, watched the life slipping away from her. His body ached and shivered. Her words died away without finisheing but he knew what she meant to say. She fell over the edge and vanished, followed slowly by Malacite. He fell to his knees and looked to his hands. This....this couldn't be happening....What was...what had he done? Something snapped and he became dead within his own mind and slumped into a heap as he stared over the falls, haveing no concept of time, or the events that occured around him.
He was found that night by his parents, and the king and queen as well as the holy council. All knew the future these two young people held and with one in this state it wouldn't do to let him come back to his senses without the maturity to deal with what had happened, but they would keep the fact she was not dead from him. Through the next month of rebuilding and reforming the fallen kingdomes into one a ritual of sealing was placed upon the young prince to allow him to live a normal life without all the knowledge and pain of what had happened on those falls.
