As Chaos contemplated the portal that Vergo had opened before him, Siren's mind was already tapping into her magic. Her new abilities enabled her to formulate a spell that would use all of their combined magic to destroy his soul. As he turned to her and saw what she had whispered, she pulled the energy into herself, her eyes glowing with her anger which was acting as an amplifyer and also was strangling her control levels. As she magic levels rose inside of her, it began pushing against her controls, and soon she would be unable to stop it from unleashing itself.
He seemed confused as to why she would willingly kill herself to rid them of his presence, but she had a secret and as her magic was unleashed he seemed to realize that she would be protected. She pushed out her magic with such force that it did not have time to release itself, and black and white orbs of pure power shot across the distance between them, immediately embedding themselves within his body and encircling his soul. She winced as a part of his soul entered her mind and immediately the design of the spell was changed. His soul would not be destroyed, but would be exiled to the plane of the spirits. Outrage filled her soul and she felt the effects of the spell wearing on herself as well. She was weakening quickly but he was gone, so she released the flow of magic.
As she released her magic, she felt it rip her soul apart within her and she yelled out in pain, dropping down to a kneeling position on the ground before finally falling sideways to lay unconscious on the ground. She felt the tearing sensation and then nothingness before a feeling of life refilled her body. She felt her mouth open and gasp for air, but she could not wake up. Her body's image began flickering between first-born and re-born appearances like an untuned tv. Within moments she was plunged into a dream world. She could feel that her body was being transported, and then the comfortable feeling of being on a bed. She hoped that Pyros was not too worried.
"Siren. You have fulfilled the purpose we gave you, and so you must return the necklace now." Came the voice of the goddess of life as she appeared in front of her. Siren looked up at the beautiful goddess once more and nodded.
"Thank you." she spoke, so happy that she could return to Pyros. She lifted free the necklace and passed it to the goddess. "I have a question. Chaos was not destroyed, and I feel in the magic I possess that we are still connected, which means I will remain this way, does it not?"
The goddess stared at her, fear clearly visible in her eyes. "You have become nearly as powerful as the gods. I can feel it." The goddess whispered. "I will give you something that will lock this power away, a necklace that you must wear to appear and behave normally. Your current form however will change in purpose when I give you this stone." her hands moved in the air as particles moved together and began forming a large circular shaped stone. It was dull and lifeless at first, and the gold chain that formed to hold it appeared out of place.
"How will it change in purpose?" Siren asked, looking up.
"It will become your other self, but its purpose will be to protect you. If it senses that you need help, it will force its way to control." she said, holding forth the necklace. Tentatively Siren reached forward and took the necklace from the goddess, placing it about her neck.
"Thank you." she said.
"You will awaken now, as if you had not expended all of your energy to save the lives of those around you. The gods have blessed you with energy to replace that needed to dispell Chaos." the Goddess spoke. and with that she disappeared in a swirl of leaves.
Siren slowly opened her eyes, looking around her to see that she had indeed been moved to a bed, though by who she did not know. "Pyros?" she called, too tired to move her head to find him.
